If you’ve always wondered which hotels around the world are pet-friendly—and luxurious—we have got you covered! Dogs are family members, so it makes sense you’ll want to bring them on your jet-setting journeys around the world. Here’s a list of hotels that are pets-only or for pets and their parents that will make you all feel like royalty!

Essex Pooch Palace,  Essex, United Kingdom

This is an upscale resort and more for your furry friend; a mix of a boarding kennel, doggie spa, and boutique. You bring your pooch here for some TLC while you, the human in need of relaxation, take off on vacation knowing your animal is in good hands. During their stay, dogs are treated to luxury sleep accommodations, are walked daily,  nap in heated pod rooms, and can even take little trips to places like the beach to run around supervised. There’s a vet nearby in case of emergency, and your doggie gets a gift-bag when they “check out.” There’s even 24-hour security, all meals provided (they’ll accommodate your special meal requests), and even a cinema room where your pets can watch dog-themed movies such as, “Beethoven.” This Kennel’s the epitome of spoiling your pet rotten!

The Vet Lounge, Australia

With locations in Coomera, Currumbin, and Ormeau, the Vet Lounge provides your dog and cat with all the comforts of home—via luxury suites. The dog boarding suites have a homey vibe, there’s spacious play areas, and the website proudly states the entire facility has AC and relaxing music piped in. There are TV’s in every dog and cat suite, and much more. It’s the perfect pet hotel for your pooch to feel like they’re “top dog.”

Kimpton Hotels (IHG)

NerdWallet.com ranked IHG resorts as #1 for both pets and their humans. Their Kimpton hotels in particular are dog-friendly thanks for hotelier and founder Bill Kimpton, who, in the 1980s, insisted on bringing his own dog to work. Pet owners love that you can bring a dog of any size—welcome, Great Danes!—into the hotel suite and treat them to awesome amenities. For example, at The Kimpton Banneker in Washington, D.C., you’re surrounded by walking trails, offered a plush doggie bed for Fido, your doggie is welcomed in any hotel bar (including the rooftop one!), water bowls are delivered to your room, there are doggie gift bags, and more. Pet owners and their pups are even assigned their own designated hotel floors at a Kimpton, so perhaps they can bond with other dogs staying on-site.  This hotel also partnered with WAG! to arrange dog-sitting services and more.

The Eden Roc, Cap Cana, Dominican Republic

This five-star beach resort is the ultimate relaxation destination for both you and your doggie. Beautiful ocean and pool views aside, The Eden Roc offers humans guests a VIP (Very Important Paws) service for canine companions.  This is what’s included: Royal Doggie Beds, treats and water bowels, pet towels, a special menu just for your pooch, on-site dog walking services, and more.  It’s the epitome of fancy for pets and pet parents alike!

Le Bristol, Paris, France

Whether you’re off to find some amazing French pastries, visit Notre Dame, or the Eiffel Tower, you’ll never forget your journey to France—and neither will your dog or cat if you stay at this boutique hotel. First of all, there’s an on-site, official hotel cat, who wanders the halls and has his own room at the venue. So your pets already have a new friend. Pups and kitties who are guests of the hotel can expect the following: a handcrafted pet bed with matching welcome mat (customized with your pet’s name), complimentary accessories, a water bowl filled with Evian (only the best water!), monogrammed biscuits, and a special menu with the “best of the best” meats and veggies for your animals.
