Labradors were the most popular dog breed in the United States in 2020. Superb dogs, the Labrador retriever has been a favorite pet of many famous owners worldwide. This English service dog has won more awards than any other breed and has received the Gold Medal for Animal Gallantry and Devotion to Duty from the PDSA. He was also the first dog to ride on the London Eye, the first dog known to use a "chip and pin" ATM card, and the first dog without training to put a person in the recovery position after a blackout. 


Buddy, U.S. President Bill Clinton's Labrador

Buddy was a male chocolate Labrador Retriever who became famous as the first dog of United States President Bill Clinton and his family. The first time he appeared in public was at the 1992 Democratic National Convention, where he wagged his tail furiously when his owner gave his acceptance speech for nomination as president of the US.

Jake is known for his work in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The black Labrador reportedly worked on more than 400 search missions over a period of 10 years and recovered over 200 human remains. Jake was also part of the group that helped find American Airlines Flight 2315 in 2006, which had crashed into Lake Michigan near Chicago. He was also involved in finding victims during Hurricane Katrina and locating survivors after the 2010 Haiti earthquake.


Widgeon, Prince William's black Labrador

Widgeon is a black Labrador Retriever belonging to Prince William (Duke of Cambridge) and Catherine Middleton (Duchess of Cambridge). The couple got him when they were living at Kensington Palace.[5] On December 1, 2016, it was announced that Widgeon had retired from duty due to old age.


Marley "The World's Worst Dog"

Marley was a lab owned by John Grogan. He became famous after being given the name "World's Worst Dog" in his owner's book Marley & Me, which was later adapted into a film with the same title.

Konni was gifted to President Putin in 2000 by Sergey Shoygy. Konni is not only Putin's pet but also his companion during official meetings and summits. Putin has been photographed with Konni many times while traveling abroad or visiting foreign dignitaries in Russia. Konni has been named "Honorary Guide Dog of Moscow" by the city government for her loyalty and devotion to her master.
